The Slim MAX003 Shell, Supplied Empty

Panaro's MAX003V is the black MAX003 with nothing inside: a slim watertight shell for flat kit, paperwork and owners who want to fit their own lining.

The outside measures 350 x 230 x 59 mm and the clear space inside is 316 x 195 x 53 mm, with 16 mm in the lid and 37 mm in the base, or 3.26 litres. Empty, it weighs 0.52 kg according to Panaro.

The MAX003V passed IP67 testing at CMC under EN 60529. Its datasheet credits it with a sealed lid gasket, automatic pressure release, an interlocking stackable profile and thick walls, rated from -10 to 80 °C. Panaro state MAX cases are made in Italy.

With no insert, the full depth is yours for permits and site paperwork, flat tools, cables or gear already in its own pouch, and it leaves room for a custom foam inlay. The same shell is also sold with cubed foam (MAX003S), high density foam (MAX003HDS) or convoluted foam (MAX003VGPB).

No. The MAX003V is the empty case. Panaro make the same shell with cubed foam (MAX003S), high density cubed foam (MAX003HDS) and convoluted foam (MAX003VGPB).
There is 53 mm of internal height in total, 16 mm in the lid and 37 mm in the base. It suits flat items rather than bulky ones; the MAX004V has the same footprint with 81 mm inside.
IP67 under EN 60529 is the rating for an enclosure that keeps dust out completely and survives temporary immersion. CMC tested the closed MAX003V to it, so keep grit off the seal.
No. The MAX003 is a flat case with two latches and no carry handle. The deeper MAX004 adds a fold-down handle.
