It is a separate lift off lid. That makes the box quick to load from above and quick to relabel, but it also means a lid can go missing when boxes are moved one at a time.

This is the higher grade of the two. Marbig mark it Maximum Strength and build it with triple end walls, while the Strong box is marked Medium Strength with double end walls. Both share the same outside dimensions.
