Derwent Inktense colour 0805, Violet Blue, ink-like wash pencil
Water-soluble Derwent Inktense pencils in Violet Blue that can be used dry or with water and dry permanently, in a box of 6.
Fabric, ceramic and wood are among the porous surfaces Derwent lists for Inktense, alongside paper. This Violet Blue pencil, colour 0805, carries the range's wax-based, water-soluble 4mm core. Colour can be laid down dry or activated with water, and once dry it is permanent, so later layers sit over it without dissolving earlier work.
Violet Blue is sold here as a box of 6, under our code AA2306143 and Derwent code 2306143. The colour number is 0805. Derwent marks the Inktense range as water-soluble, permanent once dry and suitable for use on fabric, with range ratings of 3 for blendability and 5 for colour intensity.
For graphite and colour pencils in general, see Pencils. Watercolour Pencils is our collection for watercolour and water-soluble pencils. The broader drawing and colouring range sits in Drawing & Colouring.
