A First Set of Bright Copic Classic Colours

The Copic Classic 12 colour set is a starter palette of bold primary and secondary colours, finished with 100 Black, for anyone beginning with Classic markers.

Copic describe this as a basic set of bright colours commonly used in design, and their catalogue calls it a trial set for beginning a Classic collection. Inside are 100 Black, E09 Burnt Sienna, B39 Prussian Blue, B29 Ultramarine, B14 Light Blue, G17 Forest Green, YG03 Yellow Green, Y13 Lemon Yellow, YR04 Chrome Orange, R08 Vermilion, RV11 Pink and V09 Violet.

Twelve clear, contrasting colours give you enough to sketch, colour concept drawings and learn how Classic markers handle, with a Fine nib and a Medium Broad nib on every barrel per Copic. For portraits and comics, Copic suggest adding skin tones such as E00, E11, E13, E15 and E19.

Expand the palette later through our art markers range, practise colour on sheets from art paper and canvas, and add fineliner pens and artist pencils for line work and underdrawing.
