Twelve Cool Greys for Crisp, Metallic Shading

This Copic Classic set gathers the full Cool Grey scale from C-0 to C-10, plus 100 Black, in the original square-barrel marker.

Copic describe their Cool Greys as carrying a hint of blue, giving a cold, crisp effect that they recommend for depicting metal. Working through eleven steps of one grey family lets you shade form gradually, from barely-there C-0 to the near-black C-10, with 100 Black for the deepest accents. The Copic catalogue also notes the Cool Grey set is commonly used in education.

Every Classic marker is double-ended, with a Fine nib for detail at one end and a Medium Broad nib for coverage at the other, as Copic list them. The markers are refillable with Copic Various Ink and take replacement nibs, and the clear acrylic case keeps the scale in order on the desk.

Pair the greys with colour from the wider art markers range, choose a smooth sheet from art paper and canvas, and keep line work tidy with fineliner pens from our drawing supplies section.

FAQs

Twelve Copic Classic markers: Cool Grey C-0 through C-10 and 100 Black, held upright in a clear acrylic case with a lid.
Copic describe Cool Grey as having a hint of blue, Warm Grey as carrying brown tints, Neutral Grey as sitting between the two, and Toner Grey as between neutral and warm with a faint touch of brown. Each family has its own 12-piece Classic set.
Yes. Copic Various Ink refills Classic markers, and the Copic refill guide estimates roughly five refills of a Classic marker from one bottle.
Copic explain that 100 Black is slightly bluish and fits with Cool Greys, while 110 Special Black is a little reddish and suits the Neutral Greys.
Copic list the Classic range as compatible with the Copic Airbrushing System, so these markers can be loaded into the Air Grip.
