Borosilicate 3.3 is the grade that matters. It handles heat and thermal shock - which is what a beaker in a school lab actually gets, moving between a bunsen and a bench - and it resists chemical attack. Ordinary soda glass cracks; this does not, not from normal use.

The graduations are printed and permanent. They survive dishwashers and autoclaves, which is where cheaper beakers lose their scale after a term and become unlabelled cups.

Low form with a spout. Low form is the standard classroom shape - stable on a bench, wide enough to stir in, easy to pour from without dribbling down the side.

Twelve is a class set for pair work in a room of 24. Uniform wall thickness is what the supplier credits for the durability, and it is the right thing to care about - most beaker breakages start at a thin spot.

Borosilicate 3.3 is made for direct heating on gauze over a flame - that is the point of the grade. Do not put a cold beaker straight onto a hot plate or heat one that is dry.

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition.
