What goes on a JP stamp
A JP stamp lets you add your details to documents quickly and legibly after you witness or certify them. Most JP stamps show:
- Your full name
- The words Justice of the Peace
- Your registration number
- Your state or territory
The requirements differ between states and territories, so check your state's JP handbook or registrar for exactly what your stamp must show. Our templates cover the common layouts, and you can change every line.
Rectangle or round?
Rectangle stamps fit neatly beside a signature on certified copies and statutory declarations. Round stamps put your details around the edge for a seal-style look. The builder shows which sizes fit your name and number.
Proof and delivery
You approve your own proof on screen. What you see on the real-size preview is exactly what we make, so check the spelling, numbers and layout before you tick the final proof box. Double-check your registration number, as it's the detail most often mistyped. Each stamp is made to order on the Sunshine Coast and usually dispatched the next business day after you approve your proof. Delivery is 1–5 business days to ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC, and 3–12 business days to SA, TAS, WA and NT. Delivery is free on orders over $149 inc GST.
Frequently asked questions
What should a JP stamp include?
Most JP stamps show your full name, the words Justice of the Peace, your registration number and your state. Requirements differ between states and territories, so check your state's JP guidelines before you order.
Can I order a JP stamp online?
Yes. Pick a JP template, type your details and the builder lays them out for you. You approve the real-size proof on screen before we make it.
Which ink colour should a JP use?
Black or blue are the usual choices because they copy and scan clearly. Check your state's guidelines if you're unsure.
Is a self-inking JP stamp worth it?
Yes, if you witness documents often. A self-inking stamp re-inks itself each time, so every impression is even and readable without a separate pad.
How long does a JP stamp take?
It's made to order on the Sunshine Coast and usually dispatched the next business day after you approve your proof.
