Even pressure is what separates a print from a smudge
10 wooden button brayers. 50mm high, 50mm diameter base, 2-3mm felt pad. $33.30 - $3.33 each.
Printmaking fails at the pressing stage. A student pushes hard in the middle and not at all at the edges, and the print comes out patchy. A button brayer spreads even pressure across the paper because it is designed to be pushed straight down with the palm - which is a motion a seven-year-old can do consistently and a rolling brayer is not.
The felt pad matters. 2-3mm of felt distributes the pressure and does not mark the paper. Bare wood does both jobs badly.
50mm is sized for small hands, and the shape means it cannot be gripped wrong.
It has a second job in collage. Pressing glued paper down flat with a brayer removes the air bubbles and lifted corners that make collage look unfinished.
Wood rather than plastic, so it survives a class set's worth of use.
Ten is a class set for shared tables at $3.33 each.
One small note
Our price list calls this a "Button Baron Brayer" and Zart's own description calls it a "Button Brayer". Same item as far as we can tell, but we have asked which name is correct so the two catalogues agree.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered.
