This Uni PWE-3MS carries fluorescent yellow liquid chalk behind a slim 0.9 to 1.3mm bullet nib, so small print on a blackboard or dark glass can still grab attention.

Fluorescent yellow is the colour a reader notices first on a dark surface. Most people reach for a wide nib when they want a colour to shout, but the details are where it earns its keep: a circled price, an underline beneath the special of the day, a small NEW beside one menu item, or the stars and sparks around a white headline. The fine tip keeps those touches neat rather than blotchy.

Uni say this ink stays put in the rain yet comes away with a damp cloth. Suitable surfaces on their list are glass, windows, mirrors, metal and chalkboards, while porous materials are excluded. Uni UK add that the PWE-3MS is a water-based paint pen with a polyester nib, cannot be refilled and is not smudge resistant.

Fluorescent yellow draws the eye, and a fine nib lets you use it sparingly: a circle round a price, a short note or a border. For big fluoro lettering, a chisel tip marker covers the ground faster.
It is hard to read on white or clear glass against a bright background. It is at its best on black or dark green boards and dark glass.
Uni do not make any UV or glow claim for this marker, so we do not either. Fluorescent here describes the bright colour.
