Silver strokes that frame the rest of the board

Uni PWE-17K Silver is a metallic silver liquid chalk marker with a 15mm extra broad chisel tip, useful both as a headline colour and as the outline that makes other colours pop.

Silver is quieter than gold and cooler than white, and sign writers lean on it for exactly that. A broad silver drop shadow behind white or fluoro lettering adds depth without fighting the main word. On its own it suits winter and frost themes, sleek bar and barber shop boards, tech or launch night signs, and anywhere a black board needs a metallic touch that is not warm in tone.

Per uni, a shower will not remove it while a damp cloth will. Glass, windows, mirrors, metal and chalkboards are the listed surfaces, and anything porous is off limits. Uni UK fill in the rest: water-based paint in a capped pen, a polyester chisel, no refill option and no smudge resistance.

Not very well. A silver line on a silvered mirror has little contrast. Choose white, gold or a fluoro shade for mirrors, and keep silver for black boards and dark glass.
Write the main word first in white or a bright colour, let it dry, then run the silver chisel along one side of each letter. Because uni UK list the ink as not smudge resistant, drying time between layers matters.
Uni name glass, windows, mirrors, metal and chalkboards. Porous surfaces such as timber, paper and unsealed stone are excluded.
Uni say a damp cloth removes it, while ordinary rain does not. On tinted or filmed glass, test a small area before writing a full display.
Yes. Uni list silver in the PWE-8K chisel at about 8mm and in the PWE-5M bullet.
