Seven named feather colours for masks, puppets and collage
Zart Trimmed Feathers Assorted 20g, supplier code FTZ207, is a 20g pack of soft trimmed feathers in seven colours, each approximately 8 to 10cm long.
The Creative School Supply Company names the colours as teal/blue, light green, dark green, red, orange, gold yellow and pink. It lists masks, collages, puppets, costumes and three-dimensional constructions as uses, and describes the feathers as lightweight and easy to glue. The supplier frames the palette as a way for students to explore contrast, symmetry and decorative design.
Knowing the seven colours in advance helps when planning a colour or pattern lesson around the pack. The supplier says the feathers add flair, movement and texture to both individual and collaborative artworks. The 8 to 10cm length suits decorating masks and puppets, two of the uses the supplier names.
Sorting the seven colours into trays first makes pattern work easier to plan. Have glue and base shapes ready before handing out feathers. Find more craft feathers, craft pom poms, craft glues and the wider Zart range.
