Noris Junior Sharpener For Chunky 13 To 16 mm Pencils

Staedtler Noris junior 514 16 BK is one turquoise and sunny yellow tub sharpener on a cardboard blistercard, sized for the extra-thick pencils and crayons young children use.

Ordinary sharpener holes are too small for supersized pencils. This one takes Noris junior and comparable supersized 3 in 1 coloured pencils from 13 to 16 mm in diameter, and Staedtler say it also suits the Noris junior graphite pencil and wax crayons.

Staedtler call it dual sharpening: a child can twist the pencil in the sharpener, or hold the pencil still and twist the sharpener, and either way works for left-handers too. The conical body is shaped, in Staedtler's words, to be comfortable for all hand sizes, and the shavings collect in the tub.

Staedtler state it is made in Germany, and the card carries the same mark. Pair it with the Noris junior 3in1 pencils or wax crayons for a starter art kit.
