An Architect Pattern Scale Ruler With 1:25 And 1:250

Staedtler 961 80-3AS is the Academy pattern whose 300mm scales read 1:1, 1:100, 1:20 and 1:200 on the front and 1:25, 1:250, 1:50 and 1:500 on the back.

The difference from the 2AS is the 1:25 and 1:250 pair. Those ratios turn up in residential design, interior layouts and some landscape and survey drawings, so students whose course or office works to them need this pattern. The common 1:20, 1:50, 1:100, 1:200 and 1:500 are still here, and 1:1 gives a plain millimetre edge.

Staedtler describe the Academy range as inexpensive quality scale rulers, durable and with long lasting graduations, aimed at students. Each face carries two scale edges on the oval profile.
