Red Pigment Ink For Corrections, Markups And Accents

Staedtler 308 05-2 is the red pigment liner in the 0.5 mm width, supplied ten to a box.

Red is the working colour for anyone checking other people's work: teachers marking, editors proofing a printout, drafters flagging a change on a drawing set. At 0.5 mm the stroke is clear at arm's length without swamping the text underneath. Illustrators reach for it too, for lips, berries, warning signs and the odd splash of colour in a black line drawing.

Staedtler give the colour pens the same pigment ink properties as the black: indelible, lightfast and waterproof on paper, with the AU catalogue listing it as acid free. A highlighter run over the red line will not make it bleed, so marks stay readable under yellow. The long metal tip handles rulers and stencils, and the polypropylene barrel is built for a long life.

One caution: the extended cap-off time Staedtler quote applies to black ink only, so put the cap back on this red between uses.
