Medium 2H carpenters pencils for precise line marking in woodworking and construction

The Staedtler 148 40 is a medium 2H carpenters pencil in red lacquer, supplied in a box of 12, providing a medium-hard grade for marking on timber, masonry and construction materials where a clearly visible but precise line is needed.

2H is the most commonly specified grade for general carpentry and joinery marking - harder than HB for a cleaner, finer line on rough timber surfaces, but softer than 6H so the mark remains visible for working. The flat oval barrel prevents rolling on sloped surfaces. Red lacquer for clear grade identification alongside the green 6H (148 50) and the standard medium (148). Box of 12 for trade supply. Sharpened with a sharp knife or saw; no standard sharpener will fit the flat oval format.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
