Precision Fine Lines From The 8H Pencil

Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100-8H is sold as a box of 12 very hard pencils for exact, faint linework that keeps its sharpness.

8H sits near the top of the H range, so its line is crisp, thin and light. Architects, engineers and model makers reach for it for setting-out lines, cutting guides on card, accurate grids and marks that must be precise but not prominent.

Staedtler give the 8H an approximately 2.0 mm lead. They describe the Lumograph as break resistant with uniform, repeatable strokes and good reproduction quality.

Staedtler state the pencils are made in Germany. A hard, smooth surface gives the cleanest line; pressing too firmly on soft paper can score it.

You get 12 Mars Lumograph pencils, all 8H, in one box.
10H is two steps harder and lighter. 8H gives a slightly more visible line while still staying faint.
Light lines lift with the Mars plastic 526 50 eraser. Grooves from heavy pressure may still show.
No special type is required. Staedtler recommend two models for the range, a metal 510 10 or a 511 001 tub.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
