The Largest Frypan in Resto's Carina Range

The Resto Carina 28cm frypan is made from recycled forged aluminium, with a marble-effect non-stick interior, a bronze-brown heat-resistant exterior and a wood-effect soft-touch handle.

Carina is one of Resto's forged aluminium ranges, with a marble-effect non-stick coating inside and a brown heat-resistant coating outside that Resto says protects the surface from carbon deposits. The base is an induction bottom reinforced with an anti-deformation disk, and Resto lists a 3.5 mm base, 3 mm walls and a 4 mm rim. At 28cm across and 5.3 cm high, this is the largest of five Carina frypan sizes.

It works on induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs, so it suits a staff kitchen cooktop of any type. Resto lists its weight as 0.92 kg. The Bakelite soft-touch handle has a wood-effect finish and a hanging hole, so the pan can hang on a hook or rail between uses.

Hand washing keeps the coating at its best, so stock up on dishwashing and kitchen cleaning supplies, then round out a breakroom or staff kitchen with more kitchenware and cookware and our serveware range.

FAQs

Yes. Resto says Carina suits all types of cookers including induction, and lists induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs. The base is an induction bottom reinforced with an anti-deformation disk.
No. Resto's Carina leaflet shows a no-oven symbol and the product page does not list oven use, so keep this pan on the hob.
Resto shows a dishwasher symbol for Carina, but its care guides recommend hand washing to extend the life of the non-stick coating and warn that an aluminium base can discolour in a dishwasher, which should be kept to 50°C or below. We recommend hand washing in warm soapy water.
Resto does not publish utensil guidance for Carina in the information we hold. Wooden, silicone or nylon utensils are the safe choice on any non-stick coating and avoid scratching the surface.
No. Resto sells the Carina frypans without a lid. The pan comes on its own in a paper sleeve.
Carina frypans come in 20cm, 22cm, 24cm, 26cm and 28cm, from 4.2 cm to 5.3 cm high; this is the 28cm. The Carina deep frypans are taller, 6.4 cm to 7.7 cm, and the 24cm pancake pan has a low 1.8 cm rim. All share the same bronze-brown finish and wood-effect handle.
