A Low-Rimmed Carina Pan for Pancakes and Crepes

The Resto Carina 24cm pancake pan is recycled forged aluminium with a marble-effect non-stick surface and a low 1.8 cm rim for pancakes, crepes and flatbreads.

Resto calls this a pancake pan on its website and a crepe pan in its catalogue; either way it is the flat, low-sided member of the Carina range. It shares the range's marble-effect non-stick coating, the brown heat-resistant exterior that Resto says protects against carbon deposits, and an induction base reinforced with an anti-deformation disk. Resto lists a 3.5 mm base and 3 mm walls.

It works on induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs, and the low rim leaves room to slide a spatula under a crepe or turn a pancake. The ergonomic soft-touch handle has a wood-effect finish, and Resto lists the pan at 0.7 kg.

Yes. Resto says Carina suits all types of cookers including induction, and lists induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs. The base is an induction bottom reinforced with an anti-deformation disk.
Both names refer to the same item. Resto calls it a pancake pan on its website and in its brochure, and a crepe pan in its catalogue. The 1.8 cm rim is low enough for thin crepes and still holds pancake batter.
No. Resto's Carina leaflet shows a no-oven symbol and the product page does not list oven use, so keep this pan on the hob.
Resto shows a dishwasher symbol for Carina, but its care guides recommend hand washing to extend the life of the non-stick coating and warn that an aluminium base can discolour in a dishwasher, which should be kept to 50°C or below. We recommend hand washing in warm soapy water.
Resto does not publish utensil guidance for Carina in the information we hold. A wide silicone or nylon spatula is the safe choice on any non-stick coating and avoids scratching the surface.
The pancake pan is almost flat, with a 1.8 cm rim, while Carina frypans run from 4.2 cm to 5.3 cm high and the deep frypans from 6.4 cm to 7.7 cm. It shares the same coating, bronze-brown finish and wood-effect handle style. No lid is included.
