The MAX1090H280 With a Lift-Off Lid

The Panaro MAX1090H280-R has the same 1090 x 680 x 280 mm interior as the hinged version, but its lid comes off completely, which matters when a long load is lowered in from above or the case sits under a bench where a swinging lid would not clear.

Panaro close the removable lid with 12 latches, with butterfly steel latches available as an accessory, and fit handles on the lid sides so you can lift it away once the latches are open. A yellow warning label sits on the lid in Panaro's photos. Depth is split 70 mm lid and 210 mm base, 215 litres overall, and Panaro list the empty case at 17.50 kg.

It rolls on a double wheel set with a big fold down handle, and the bottom side handles suit a two-person lift. The -R shell carries four pressure release valves and a watertight seal, and Panaro have it certified IP67 and tested to DEF STAN 81-41 and MIL-STD-810H. Made in Italy.
