Pick And Pluck Foam For Slim, Long Items

MAX005S is the standard cubed foam version of Panaro's slim MAX005, a light 0.30 kg case for pens, styluses, probes or a small camera accessory kept in its own cut-out.

Two 20 mm layers of pre-cut cubes sit on a 10 mm base pad, so shallow items can be set into the top layer and deeper ones through both. A 15 mm convoluted layer in the lid holds everything down. The usable space is 292 x 92 x 65 mm (13.5 mm lid plus 51.5 mm base), inside a 309 x 128 x 71.5 mm shell.

Teslab tested the MAX005 to IP52 under EN 60529, which covers dust protection and dripping water. That is the only rating published for this model, so it is a splash and dust case rather than an immersion one. Panaro's declaration covers MIL-STD-810G fluid contamination and fungus testing of MAX series materials.

Good uses are fine-tip drawing tools, a fountain pen set, a handheld microphone, spare camera batteries or a stylus kit.

No. The MAX005 test report is IP52, which covers dust and dripping water only. For immersion-tested cases, look at the MAX003 or MAX004, which have IP67 reports.
Mark the outline with the item in place, then pull cubes out gradually, working inwards. Two layers let you choose 20 mm or 40 mm deep pockets.
S is Panaro's standard grade. If you want firmer support for a heavier item, the MAX005HDS uses high density cubes.
