One Screen That Moves When You Do

The Fellowes Platinum Series Single Monitor Arm (8043301) carries one screen of 1.5 to 8kg on a gas spring arm, so you can pull it closer, push it back or raise it with one hand, and it has two USB 3.0 ports built into the base.

This is the arm to choose when the screen position changes through the day: leaning in for detailed work, swinging it round to share with a colleague at the desk, or turning it to portrait for long documents. The gas spring holds the screen wherever you let go, and Fellowes list 360 degree rotation, 90 degrees of pan each way and 45 degrees of tilt each way. Fellowes give a height adjustment range of 135 to 415mm and a reach of up to 505mm.

The base fixes with the supplied desk clamp on desktops 10 to 85mm thick, or through a grommet hole, and cables run inside the arm covers. The USB ports sit on the base within reach for a phone cable or flash drive. Fellowes state the arm is tested to 20,000 cycles, and the installation manual is in the downloads on this page.

There are two USB 3.0 Type A ports on the base. Fellowes describe them as a way to keep devices within easy reach, such as charging a phone or plugging in a flash drive, once the base is cabled to your computer.
The clamp suits desktops 10 to 85mm thick. If your desk has a cable hole, the grommet fitting suits holes of 8.5 to 70mm per Fellowes. A glass top or a desk with no edge or hole needs a freestanding arm instead.
