Derwent Inktense Natural Brown with a soft 4mm core
Sold here in a box of 6, Derwent Inktense Natural Brown (colour 1907) is a water-soluble pencil for use dry or mixed with water.
This is Derwent Inktense Natural Brown, colour number 1907. There are 100 colours in the Inktense range. The core is soft, wax-based and 4mm across. Paper and fabric are both listed by Derwent, along with porous surfaces such as ceramic and wood. After drying, Derwent says, the colour creates ink-like effects. Derwent formulates the range so new layers do not dissolve colour that has already dried.
Natural Brown is supplied here in boxes of 6. The codes to quote are AA2306155 (ours) and 2306155 (Derwent). The range is listed by Derwent for fine art and craft work. Derwent describes Inktense as a formulation that acts like ink. Used dry it draws as a pencil; mixed with water, Derwent says, the colour becomes even more intense.
