Warm Golden Yellow In A Wax Pencil That Glides Like Oil

Derwent 2302438 is Deep Cadmium, shade 06 in the Derwent Procolour range, supplied in a box of 6 pencils.

Deep Cadmium is a rich, warm yellow that leans toward gold. It carries sunlight on fur and petals, gives brass and straw their glow, and underpins oranges and greens when it is layered under other colours. A box of the one shade keeps it on hand for anyone who uses it across many pieces.

ACCO describe Procolour as having a strong, smooth and richly coloured core that is highly pigmented, with a texture that is wax but glides like oil. The finish is clean and smudge-free, and the core holds a sharp point for detailed drawing. The round barrel is printed Made in Britain alongside the shade name.

FAQs

A box of six Deep Cadmium 06 pencils. ACCO list 2302438 as a single pencil, so six is the quantity we pack and sell under this code.
ACCO do not describe Procolour as water-soluble. They describe a wax texture that glides like oil. For wash work, look at the Derwent Watercolour or Inktense ranges instead.
Deep Cadmium is the shade name Derwent print on the pencil. ACCO do not publish pigment details for this code, so we cannot say what pigment gives the colour.
Britain. The words Made in Britain appear on the barrel in the supplier photo.
