Mustard ochre yellow for earthy landscapes and patterns
Yellow Oxide is a mustard ochre yellow from Chromacryl, a classic earth colour for landscapes, patterned borders, wheat fields and warm backgrounds.
Ochre yellows are a mainstay of earth palettes, used in landscape painting and in units exploring natural colour. This 1 litre bottle of Yellow Oxide gives an art room enough for several classes. In the product photos the bottle looks a warm mustard, matching the swatch, which is earthier than either of the primary yellows.
Its earthy warmth gives a softer alternative to bright primary yellow, so landscapes and patterned designs look natural rather than loud. A litre suits schools where earth palette projects run across several classes or year levels during the year and the ochre is in steady demand.
Combine it with Red Oxide and the siennas in our acrylic paints range, add painting supplies for trays and pots, and see educational supplies for the other classroom resources on your list this term.
