Yellow Oxide Earth Colour in Bulk for Landscapes and Sand
Yellow Oxide in a 2 litre Chromacryl bottle is a warm golden ochre for whole-school landscape and earth tone work.
The swatch shows a warm golden ochre, softer and earthier than the bright yellows, with lighter creamy streaks where it is brushed thin. It is a natural choice for sand, dry grass, wheat, desert scenes and earth patterned designs. The bottle is a mustard ochre with a white cap. Yellow Oxide is named on the label beneath Chromacryl and Est. 1965, and the paint is described there as medium bodied students acrylic.
Earth colours are used across large areas in landscape painting, so the 2 litre jug keeps up with a year of projects. The handle moulded into the plastic gives a firm hold while pouring, and the cap closes the bottle off for storage between lessons.
Build an earth palette with acrylic paints including Red Oxide and lay in art paper and canvas for sketches and finals. Useful painting accessories such as palettes round out the rest of the project.
