Dark chocolate brown for tree trunks, soil and shading
Chromacryl Burnt Umber is a dark chocolate brown that suits tree trunks, soil, wooden textures and shading in landscape and still life work.
A rich, deep brown is one of the hardest-working colours in a classroom set, used for bark, fences, animal fur and the darker side of objects. This bottle holds one litre of Burnt Umber, a quantity that makes sense when several classes paint from the same supply. The label carries the Chromacryl script logo, the line Medium Bodied and the words Students Acrylic.
Having a full litre of a dependable dark brown means fewer lessons interrupted by an empty tube halfway through. Where the paint is brushed thinly, the swatch on the product photo turns a warmer copper colour, giving students a visible range from heavy brown down to a lighter wash of tone.
Build out the earth palette with more acrylic paint colours, keep spare craft paint brushes on hand for bark textures, and look through general painting supplies for water pots and trays to complete the setup.
