Chroma Chromacryl Binder Medium 2 Litre comes in a jug-style bottle with a moulded carry handle, sized for art rooms that use it every week.

The printed description names it an ideal primer for painting surfaces such as paper, cardboard, canvas and hardboard, and says it gives them a good tooth. It is also listed as a sealer on wood, metal and leather and as a glue for collage. The two litre bottle makes sense when several classes share one supply cupboard and decant into smaller pots for each table.

The label also says it can turn Chromacryl paint into bright, luminous glazes, adds gloss and extends the colour. For shockproof plaster, the directions give three parts water to one part binder.
