Inky Indigo Darks in a Studio-Sized Tube
Blue Black (Indigo) is a deep, blue-leaning dark for night skies, deep water and shadows that should read cool rather than flat.
Photographed beside its tube, Blue Black (Indigo) is a near-black blue with a green undertone that opens into a teal-grey sheen where the paint is scraped thin. Blue Black (Indigo) appears on a navy band, with Schwarzblau (Indigo), Bleu Noir (Indigo) and Negro Azulado (Índigo) below. Under the band, the tube carries Fine Artists' Paint by Atelier; this inky indigo dark is labelled Interactive Acrylic, Unlockable Formula.
This 80ml inky indigo dark tube is a handy studio size, and Blue Black (Indigo) also travels well. It suits night skies, deep water and the shadow side of denim. Use the inky indigo dark on stretched canvas or canvas board for deep water. Its navy band makes Blue Black (Indigo) easy to spot.
For night skies and more, prepare canvas or art paper for the shadow side of denim, compare acrylic paint colours with Blue Black (Indigo), see painting supplies for deep water and pick acrylic mediums for inky indigo dark work.
