Cadmium Yellow Light Hue, a clear lemon-leaning yellow
Cadmium Yellow Light Hue is a clear, sharp yellow that suits spring flowers, lemons, sunlit highlights and bright sunlit fields.
A pale yellow shoulder label on the tube prints Cadmium Yellow Light Hue, a solid dot with Opaque, and the translations Nuance de Jaune de Cadmium Clair, Kadmium Hellgelb Ton and Amarillo Cadmio Claro Tono. Our swatch is a bright, slightly cool yellow in the thick stroke, staying vivid where it has been scraped thin. The front of the tube reads Atelier A2 "Heavy Body Acrylic" and 120mL.
Light yellows are often needed in quantity for highlights and sunlit passages, but a 120ml tube is still compact enough to travel. It suits the student building a first palette and the painter who wants a lemon-toned yellow ready in the studio tray.
Complete a warm and cool yellow pair with other tubes in acrylic paints, add soft brushes from paint brushes, and pick supports from art paper and canvas for Cadmium Yellow Light Hue.
