Cadmium Yellow Light Hue in a litre bottle

A litre of Cadmium Yellow Light Hue suits classroom sunflower projects, mural skies and large abstract fields that call for a clear, bright yellow.

The bottle label prints Cadmium Yellow Light Hue with a solid dot marked Opaque, then Lightfastness Rating: 2 and pigments PY.74 and PW.6, beneath "Lightfast Heavy Body Acrylic". Note the rating printed here is 2 rather than the 1 shown on many other A2 bottles. The swatch is a bright, slightly lemony yellow, and the bottle photographs in the same vivid tone.

Yellow areas in murals and posters tend to be large, and one litre lets a group fill them without running short partway through. In a school setting a single bottle can supply several tables for a full unit on colour, with leftover paint capped for the next class.

Equip the room with canvas boards for classrooms and art smocks and aprons, top up trays from painting supplies, and see the other A2 litres in acrylic paints for a full lemon-to-gold set.
