Cadmium Scarlet Hue by the litre for bold, warm projects

This 1 litre bottle of Cadmium Scarlet Hue suits school murals, festival signage, theatre sets and big abstract canvases that need plenty of hot red.

The bottle label lists Cadmium Scarlet Hue with a solid dot and Opaque, then Lightfastness Rating 1 and pigment PR.9, printed below the "Lightfast Heavy Body Acrylic" heading of the Atelier A2 line. The swatch shows a bright orange-red throughout, and the bottle body photographs as a matching scarlet under a white cap.

A full litre means a group can paint large warm areas of a mural or backdrop without stopping to open tubes, and a teacher can stock several tables from one container. Keep the bottle for big fields of scarlet and use smaller tubes for detail.

Scarlet backdrops call for plenty of painting supplies such as trays and pots, smocks and aprons for the painters, canvas boards for smaller class pieces and other bulk colours from A2 acrylic paints.
