Gloss Varnish to Finish and Shine Acrylic Paintings

Chroma Atelier Gloss Varnish is a 250ml bottle of final coat for acrylic paintings that should finish with a higher shine.

This bottle carries the Atelier Traditional mark with a green Varnish band. Its front panel tells you to use it as a final varnish for artists' acrylics, protecting the artwork and increasing gloss levels. Varnishing is the last step, once the painting is complete, and it pulls uneven patches of shine across a surface into one consistent finish.

A gloss final coat gives the whole painting one shiny surface, in line with the label line about raising gloss levels. The 250ml size suits a painter varnishing a handful of canvases or small panels, and the flip cap lets you pour a little into a dish so the rest of the bottle stays clean.

Satin and matte versions of this varnish are listed with our painting mediums. Use a wide, soft brush from craft paint brushes and finish work painted with acrylic paints on art paper and canvas.
