A Classroom Sharpener That Knows When To Stop

ACCO sell the Bostitch 49551 as the Classroom Sharpener Glow, an electric pencil sharpener that ACCO describe as designed for both classrooms and studios, with a 7 year warranty.

A pencil goes in and, in ACCO's description, a thermally protected QuietSharp motor takes over with quiet, stall-free running. ACCO rate the XHC cutter technology at 70% faster sharpening and 10x longer life. SharpStop then shuts the motor off to prevent over sharpening, and SharpGlow lights up as a visual sign that the point is finished.

A one-hand dial sets 6 sizes, and ACCO note TriWrite compatibility. Shavings collect in a canister, and the cutter cartridge comes out without tools for cleaning or replacement.
