A finer needle changes how the injection feels

BD PrecisionGlide needles use a low roll bevel and enhanced silicone lubrication, so the point enters with less resistance and less of the sting people associate with an injection.

Most injection discomfort comes from drag rather than the puncture itself. BD electronically hones the needle surface and edges to produce a finer, smoother cutting edge, then raises the cannula gliding coefficient with a silicone coating. At 27 gauge and 13mm this is the short, fine option in the range, which suits subcutaneous work and shallow intradermal technique.

The grey hub follows BD's gauge colour coding, and the rigid clear shield protects the point in storage. Every needle is sterile and single use.

Supplied in a box of 100 with a standard luer fitting that seats on any luer lock or luer slip syringe.

Three things BD engineers deliberately: the low roll bevel, the silicone gliding coating and electronically honed edges. All three target drag, which is where most of the discomfort in an injection actually comes from.
For most adults injecting into a pinched skin fold, yes. Needle length is a clinical decision though, so follow what your prescriber or clinician has recommended.
It uses the standard luer fitting, so it seats on both luer lock and luer slip syringes. It will not fit a fixed-needle insulin syringe, which has no detachable hub.
Into a rigid, puncture-resistant sharps container. Never recap a used needle.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier.
