Six starfish stones, pastel, and they stack away flat

A set of 6 starfish-shaped stepping stones in pastel colours, in varied sizes, with anti-slip bases. High-density PP plastic. Ages 3 to 8.

The pastel palette is the reason to pick these over the crocodiles. Most gross motor equipment is primary-coloured and loud; a room set up as a calm space, or an early years room that has deliberately kept its palette soft, gets the same activity without the visual noise.

Varied sizes across the six means the path itself has a difficulty gradient built in - a child steps confidently onto the large ones and has to place their foot on the small ones.

They stack. Six stones flatten into one pile at pack-away, which is what keeps them in daily use rather than in a cupboard.

Age is narrower than the rest of the range. MTA say 3 to 8 years for these specifically, where most of our balance products say 3+ with no upper end. No weight limit is published - if you are buying for older or larger students, use the crocodile stones (60kg) or the river stones (80kg), which do state one.

MTA do not publish one for this set, which is why the page says so rather than guessing. If you need a stated figure - for older students, or for a risk assessment - the Crocodile Balance Stones state 60kg and the Weplay Rainbow River Stones state 80kg.
Palette and age. These are pastel and rated 3-8; the crocodiles are bright primaries, state a 60kg limit and are indoor only. A calm-toned early years room takes these; a busy prep room takes the crocodiles.
They have anti-slip bases, which is what makes them usable on a hall floor. As with any stepping stone, put them on a dry even surface and check the bases are clean before a session.
They stack. Six stones become one pile, which is the difference between equipment that gets used every week and equipment that lives in a cupboard.
MTA do not restrict them to indoors the way they do the crocodile stones. High-density PP will take a dry playground, but bring them in - UV and grit are what ages plastic stepping stones.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier.
