Three tactile planks that change how a Build N' Balance course feels underfoot

The Gonge Build N' Balance Tactile Planks, model 2236, are a set of three planks, each with its own raised tactile structure in artificial rubber, pictured joined to the tops of Gonge's modular balancing system.

Gonge says children soon become familiar with each tactile structure when they use the elements without shoes, and that the bright colours draw attention to the different surfaces. Gonge's declaration lists the colours as navy, light blue, red, orange, greenish-blue and light green, and each plank is pictured in two of them.

Swapping these in for plain planks changes how a familiar course feels underfoot without changing its layout. Gonge gives a maximum load of 100 kg for these elements. Its catalogue also notes that a uniform surface helps a child balance, while a varied surface is often more challenging.
