A blank fan that works as a fan, not just as a shape
10 fans. 19.5 x 19.5cm blotting card paddle. 17.5cm bamboo handle. Decorative tassel. $20.80 - $2.08 each.
Blotting card is the right material and that is not an accident. It is thick, it takes paint and ink without buckling, and it is stiff enough to actually move air - which is the difference between a fan and a decorated square on a stick.
19.5cm is a generous surface. Big enough for a real composition rather than a motif, and it reads from across a room when it is held up.
The bamboo handle is a proper handle, not rolled card, so it survives a child holding it.
The tassel is already on, which is the sort of finishing detail that makes a student's work look complete rather than homemade.
It takes paint, marker, ink and collage. Blotting card is absorbent, so ink and watercolour spread and blend on it in a way they do not on coated card.
It has a real place in LOTE and cultural studies. Hand fans appear across Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Indian traditions, so the object carries a genuine conversation rather than a decorative one.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered. In these cases, Mega Office Supplies will cover reasonable return shipping costs, and photographic evidence may be requested to help process the claim.
