Twenty white pens, which is what a class of thirty actually needs
20 pens. White. Acrylic pigment ink. 1mm broad nib. $41.60 - $2.08 each.
White is the only pen colour a school runs out of. Every other colour sits in the tub. The moment a unit involves black paper, scratchboard, dark card or a night sky, every student wants white at the same time, and there are three pens between them. Twenty solves that.
A 1mm nib is broad for a gel pen, and that is deliberate. A fine white line on black looks weak. A 1mm line reads as a highlight - a rim of light on an object, a star, a line of stitching, a moon.
Acrylic pigment ink is what makes it opaque. A dye-based white goes grey on dark paper. This one lays down white and stays white.
It works on more than paper - card, ceramic, cardboard, plastic, metal and canvas.
$2.08 a pen in a bulk 20, so it is class stock rather than a treat kept in the teacher's drawer.
Two things not published
Lightfastness. There is no rating on the ink. For a folio piece or anything going on a wall for years, that is worth knowing. We have asked.
Drying time. Opaque white gel ink usually sits wet on a non-porous surface for a while, and a smudged white highlight ruins the piece it was meant to finish. Zart does not give a figure. Test on a scrap first with ceramic, plastic and metal.

Shipping & Delivery
Delivery time depends on your location, the size of your order, and the shipping option selected at checkout. For in-stock items, standard metro delivery in QLD, NSW and VIC is usually 1 to 7 business days. South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory are generally 3 to 12 business days. Express delivery for eligible parcels under 3kg is usually 1 to 4 business days in QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC. Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered.
