Rainforest greens and earthy tones in dry pastel
Zart Dry Pastels Australian Rainforest Colours Pack of 12, supplier code PSZ128, is a themed set of 12 student-quality dry pastels from The Creative School Supply Company, each 8mm wide and 68mm long.
The supplier says the set captures the rich, earthy tones and vibrant greens of the Australian Rainforest. The fine-pigment pastels are designed for smooth application and blending, and their soft texture allows seamless transitions and depth. The supplier suggests the set for lush forest tones, deep shadows and soft misty highlights, with layering, shading and mark-making as the main techniques.
The supplier names layering, shading and mark-making for building depth, from deep shadows to soft misty highlights. The supplier says the 8mm by 68mm sticks are comfortable to hold and easy to control for artists of all skill levels, and it names colour theory and blending lessons as uses.
Woodless pastel pencils add finer detail over the top. Coastal and Outback sets are also listed. Pair the pastels with pastel tools and watercolour paper, and browse pastels, drawing supplies, classroom supplies and Zart.
