Ceramic is why this is a keepsake and not a craft. A paper or foam ornament goes in the bin after one summer in a hot cupboard. A ceramic one comes back out every year with the date and the child's name still on it. Parents keep these; that is the whole point of making them at school.
The hanger is already fitted, which sounds trivial until you have drilled thirty holes or watched a class thread ribbon through nothing. It is the step that usually eats the second half of the lesson.
A round is the friendliest shape to decorate. No corners to run out of, no orientation to get wrong, and it takes a face, a pattern, a handprint or a name equally well.
It takes paint, paint pens, permanent markers and glued-on embellishments, so the same blank suits a five-year-old with a handprint and a Year 9 doing fine detail.
It is not only a Christmas product. Graduation mementos, Mother's Day, birthdays and end-of-year gifts all use the same disc.
$2.50 a piece is class-set money for something a family keeps.
Two things Zart does not tell us, and one of them decides the lesson
Whether the surface is glazed or bisque. This is the question. A glazed ceramic is slick - acrylic and paint pen sit on it and can be scratched off, and you would want a sealer. Unglazed bisque is porous, grips paint immediately and needs nothing. Zart says "high-quality ceramic" and stops. We have asked, and until they answer we would test one piece before committing a class.
The size. Not a diameter, not a thickness, nothing. On an ornament that has to hang on a tree or fit in a gift box, that is the first number anyone wants. We have asked for that too, along with a barcode - Zart has not supplied one for this item and we will not invent one.

Shipping & Delivery
Delivery time depends on your location, the size of your order, and the shipping option selected at checkout. For in-stock items, standard metro delivery in QLD, NSW and VIC is usually 1 to 7 business days. South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory are generally 3 to 12 business days. Express delivery for eligible parcels under 3kg is usually 1 to 4 business days in QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC. Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered. In these cases, Mega Office Supplies will cover reasonable return shipping costs, and photographic evidence may be requested to help process the claim. Items should be reported within a reasonable timeframe after delivery.
