The tools are the reason to buy this over a bag of counters. Sorting acorns by hand is a colour activity. Sorting them with tweezers is a pincer-grip exercise that a three-year-old will do for twenty minutes because they want the acorn in the bowl, not because anyone asked them to strengthen their fingers.

Three tools of increasing difficulty: the scoop for the youngest, the spoon next, the tweezers last. One set therefore covers a range of ability without anyone being handed a different activity.

Wood rather than plastic - it has weight and texture, it sounds different in a bowl, and it does not slide off a table the way light plastic counters do. For sensory work that matters as much as the colour.

Natural and coloured acorns together, so the sorting can be by colour, by natural-versus-dyed, by size or by whatever the child notices - which is a better activity than one with a single right answer.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
