Violet for headings and colour coding

Uni PWE-5M violet: a single chalk marker with liquid ink and a medium bullet nib, for chalkboards, glass and similar non-porous surfaces that get wiped and rewritten.

Violet is the colour people choose when red and green are already taken. On a weekly planner it gives a fourth person or project a colour of their own; on a menu it marks a category heading such as desserts or kids meals without looking like a warning. It is a solid violet, not the metallic version, so it reads as a flat colour on a black board.

Uni's own summary is that it writes on and wipes off, using water-based paint. A damp cloth is the removal method on Uni's Australian page, which also rates the range for rain. Porous surfaces are ruled out by Uni, so use it on smooth, sealed ones like chalkboards, mirrors and metal.

No. This is the standard violet. The metallic violet PWE-5M is a separate marker with a metallic finish and its own barrel label.
Uni Australia list violet in the PWE-5M assorted pack of 8, which Mega stocks. The pack of 4 has a different set of colours.
A medium bullet line, between the PWE-3MS fine tip and the PWE-8K chisel. Uni publish differing width figures for the PWE-5M, so no single number is given here.
It works on smooth, non-porous chalkboards. Uni do not publish child safety information for this marker on the pages we checked, so we make no claim about it.
Wipe it with a damp cloth, as Uni Australia advise. Test first on older boards with worn or porous paint, as those can hold a trace.
