Uni-ball Air UBA-188M Micro Liquid Ink Rollerball Pen 0.5mm Black Box of 12

uni-ball's page lists a Micro 0.5mm tip for the UBA-188M, with a line of about 0.28 to 0.45mm.

uni-ball says the Air-tip releases ink depending on pressure, creating a variable line width, and that the tip adjusts to the style of writing depending on pressure and angle. We have run no test of our own.

uni-ball's page for this model shows the uni Super Ink logo, and Mitsubishi Pencil Australia advises that pens carrying that logo are water, fade and time resistant. We do not describe the pen as waterproof or fade-proof, and we hold no test result for this model.

uni-ball's safety data sheet says the Air ink is water-based and does not say pigment or dye. A general liquid ink category sentence on its site mentions pigment ink but names no model, so we do not call this ink pigment or dye.

uni-ball does not say for the UBA-188M, so we do not state it either way.

uni-ball publishes no refill for the UBA-188M, so we do not state one.

Yes. uni-ball publishes one for Air inks, issued 14 February 2025, and it names UBA-188-M/L among its product numbers. It says the mixture is not classified as hazardous and that a signal word is not required.

We list black, blue and red in boxes of 12. uni-ball's page names no colours. Its safety data sheet lists black, blue and red among the Air ink colours, and its site shows black, blue and red UBA-188M images.
