A Firm 0.7 mm Black Line For Outlines

Staedtler 308 07-9 is the 0.7 mm black pigment liner, sold here in Staedtler's box of 10.

At about 0.7 mm the line is bold enough to read across a room yet still controlled enough for drawing. Illustrators and comic artists use it for character outlines and panel borders, teachers and students for diagrams that photocopy cleanly, and it is the heaviest pen in Staedtler's four-pen WP4 wallet.

Staedtler describe the black ink as pigment based, indelible, lightfast and waterproof on paper, and their AU catalogue adds acid free. On drafting film it can be erased, and highlighter will not make it bleed. Staedtler rate the cap-off time at no less than 12 hours. A long metal tip suits a ruler, and automatic pressure equalisation keeps it from leaking on flights.
