Light First Scissors For Toddler Hands

Staedtler 965 40 BK is the Noris junior safety scissor for toddlers, a light, approx. 10 cm pair on its own card.

Staedtler built these for the very first cutting exercises. The edges are rounded, the scissor is especially light, and the grip is sized for small hands, with one light blue and one yellow loop so a child can tell the two sides apart. In Staedtler's words they only cut paper, not hair or textiles.

That makes them a sensible starter pair for kinder, playgroup and home: snipping fringes on a strip of paper, cutting a wiggly line, chopping up old magazines for a collage. When a child is ready for a metal-bladed pair, the Noris 965 14 NBK is the next step up in the same family.

This listing is a single card. For a group setting, the Peppa Pig version, 965 40 L1, comes as a pack of 10. As with any scissors, an adult should be close by while little ones cut.
