Twelve FIMO Soft Colours In Half Blocks To Start With

The FIMO 'basic' starter set 8023 C12-1 holds 12 half blocks of FIMO soft, 25 g each, for 300 g of oven-bake clay in a spread of everyday colours.

A starter set answers the first question every new maker has: which colours do I need? This one covers white and black, a lemon yellow, tangerine, two reds (raspberry and indian red), plum, brilliant blue, peppermint, tropical green, caramel and dolphin grey. That is enough to mix most other shades and to try beads, charms, small figures and decorations before committing to full-size blocks.

Each colour comes as a 25 g half block with its colour number printed on top, and Staedtler's catalogue lists instructions in the box. Staedtler describe the clay as smooth and soft, easy to blend and ready to use.

Finished pieces go into a home oven; the box prints 110°C and a 30 minute time. When a favourite colour runs out, the same shades are sold as 57 g FIMO soft standard blocks.
