A Clear Gloss Coat For Finished Pieces

FIMO gloss varnish 8704 01 BK is Staedtler's water-based gloss for FIMO and FIMOair work, in 35 ml jars on blistercards, and this listing is five cards, the unit Staedtler Australia sell it in.

Staedtler describe it as adding a glossy sheen while protecting the surface. It goes on milky and dries transparent, so the colours of the model show through. Their catalogue lists it as scratch resistant and odourless, touch dry in about 20 minutes, and their web page adds that it is lightfast.

It suits oven-hardened FIMO and also air-dried FIMOair, so one jar covers a mixed craft table. Use it on beads, charms and figures where a shine helps the colours pop, or on painted FIMOair where a sealed top layer stops colour rubbing off.

Five jars make sense for a classroom, a craft group or a stall maker who goes through varnish quickly. Staedtler also make a semi-gloss version and a small 10 ml jar with a brush in the cap.

Staedtler list a brush in the cap only for the 10 ml version, 8703 01 BK. They list no brush for this 35 ml jar, so plan on using your own.
Yes. Staedtler state it is suitable for both FIMO and FIMOair.
It may look milky when wet, but Staedtler say it is transparent once dry.
The current Staedtler blistercard is pictured first. The earlier red card and jar are shown too; both are the 35 ml gloss varnish.
