Three Sponge Grades For A Smooth Bake

The FIMO grind and polish set 8700 08 holds flexible sanding sponges in three grades, fine, superfine and microfine, for smoothing FIMO after it has been hardened in the oven.

Fingerprints, small bumps and tool marks show up once a piece is baked. Staedtler made these foam sheets for wet sanding hardened FIMO, working from the coarsest grade to the finest for a smooth, even surface before varnish or display.

The foam bends, so it follows beads, rings, bowls and other curved shapes where stiff sandpaper would flatten edges. Staedtler say the sheets can be cut to size, which helps with small beads or tight corners.

Rinse the sponges out after use. Staedtler describe them as washable and reusable, so one card lasts across many projects.
