Bright Yellow Marking On Metal, Glass And Dark Stock

Staedtler 768N-1 is the yellow Lumocolor non-permanent omnichrom leadholder, listed here as one marker.

Yellow stands out on grey steel, galvanised sheet, dark plastics and timber, which is why it is a common pick for trades and maintenance work. The 768 holds a water-soluble lead of roughly 3 mm. Click it forward to mark, then pull it back in so the point is protected in a pocket or pouch.

Staedtler describe the lead as opaque on almost all surfaces, dark and transparent ones included, naming paper, plastic, metal, glass, wood, leather and stone. Marks are non-permanent, so a cloth takes them off many smooth surfaces and a wash removes them from many textiles. On paper the lead does not bleed through.

Spare yellow leads come as the 218-1 tray of 12. Staedtler show the 768 with Made in Germany and lightfast pictograms on their Australian site.

More refill leads, holders and mechanical pencils and Staedtler writing supplies.
