A Permanent Pen For Surfaces Ordinary Markers Bead On

Staedtler 319 F-9 is the Lumocolor permanent special in black with the fine tip, approx. 0.6 mm, sold as a box of 10.

Staedtler make the permanent special for the jobs where a standard marker fails: coated surfaces, nano coatings, optical glass, laboratory glass, silicone and laminating film. Their catalogue illustration shows the problem it solves; on a nano-coated surface a conventional marker beads up and smudges, while the 319 adheres without beading. That makes it a pen for spectacle and optics workshops, labs labelling treated glassware, and anyone marking laminated or siliconised material.

The black fine version can also mark textiles and handle a wide range of outdoor work, and Staedtler suggest it as a garden marker. They describe the black as extremely lightfast, for 7 years on smooth surfaces and longer on paper, and weatherproof. The ink is waterproof and smudge-proof on almost all surfaces, colour-intensive yet low in odour, free of xylene and toluene, and dries in seconds.

The tip is locked, the barrel and cap are PP, and pressure equalisation makes it airplane-safe. Germany is the country of manufacture Staedtler give.
